Charlestowne 18 Theatre Announces "Predict the Oscars" Contest Winner
The ballots are in, and the winners have been selected in Classic Cinemas' annual “Predict the Oscars” contest. Local resident Kathy Pulte will receive a one-year movie pass and a pair of tickets to the Brookfield Zoo. Pulte entered the contest at the Charlestowne 18, 3740 E. Main Street.
"I enjoyed most of the movies I saw this year, but my favorite movie this year was Toy Story 3," said Pulte, an avid moviegoer at the Charlestowne 18 theatres.
This year, 5,605 ballots were cast in predicting the Oscar winners in seven categories: Best Picture, Best Director, Best actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress and Best Animated Film.
Each Classic Cinemas theatre selects one first-place winner from the correct ballots entered at that location. The remaining correct ballots entered at the Charlestown 18 will receive a pair of passes to any Classic Cinemas location and a pair of tickets to the Brookfield Zoo.

I'd love to read an article detailing what is going on with the Charlestowne mall. That place is a ghost town and is listed on www.deadmalls.com
Can one of out fine, local, Patch reporters do a report on the mall and what they are going to do with it? It is downright creepy in there.

I agree with John. We need some deets on the mall. I live in the area and would love the updates. Last I heard someone from California bought it and was going to put in an ice rink! Thanks!

We should have an update on Borders Monday. One of our editors has been in contact with Borders corporate for a story.
It has been a while since I updated St. Charles Patch on the east side business situation and the mall. Thanks for the requests. I'll get started right away!
