Join Us at 10:40 a.m. at the Freedom Shrine

St. Charles, IL  (October 31, 2012)  – Veterans Day is a holiday set aside to honor the men and women who served our nation with honor – each one of them earned the right to be called “veteran” by their sacrifice and devotion to duty in some of the darkest hours our nation has known.  The City of St. Charles Annual Veterans Day Ceremony is Sunday, November 11 at 10:40 a.m. at the Freedom Shrine, behind the St. Charles Police Station, 211 N. Riverside Avenue.  Please join us to honor and thank all those who served our country in the Armed Forces.  All are welcome to attend.

The ceremony will begin with a reading of the official Veterans Day Proclamation, followed by an invocation, salute to the flag, a 21-gun salute and the playing of Taps.
