Oh no!! A truly unique restaurant,in a different setting, closing!! Just another victim of the economy, no doubt! What fun, to take your out of towners to,they will be, really missed!!!Their steaks were great, and getting there, going down to the river, was hilarious !!!

How sad! Almost all my family's major events were celebrated there! I now live far away, but so many good times and wonderful memories . . .

People in St Charles need to go outside and spend some money at these restaurants. The economy will only get better for all of us, if we begin to start spending again. Support your local businesses if you want to have a vibrant city!

How unfortunate that on Dec. 8, my friend and I bought $350.00 worth of gift certificates - and no one gave us an inkling about closing. We gave these as gifts, and now the giftee's can't go, and we are out the money........don't know if we have any recourse?

@KathyB—Good question. Has anyone else come across this problem and know who to call?

What does taking a break and time to refresh mean? Will they reopen? I hope so! Best steak and food EVER!
