Comedian to Record Album in St. Charles Tonight

Matt Drufke will perform at The River Rockhouse at 7:30.

Want to be part of a live comedy album recording?

Well head over to The River Rockhouse on April 30 and be part of area comedian Matt Drufke’s first comedy album “This is Supposed to be Fun.”

Drufke, a Huntley resident, is a five-year veteran to the Chicago comedy scene and has worked with national headliners and performed in venues all over the Midwest. The show will be produced by A O.K. Comedy, which holds shows at The River Rockhouse on the first and third Monday of every month.

Drufke, who began comedy in 2007, has a high-energy, fast-paced delivery of sometimes self deprecating humor. Drufke has also been a part of the suburban comedy scene, having produced shows in West Dundee, Elgin, Aurora, Crystal Lake, Buffalo Grove, and many other towns.

The show will be hosted by Marty DeRosa, part of the Chicago comedy collective Comedians You Should Know, whose self-titled debut album reached Number 1 on the itunes comedy chart the day it was released. It was also feature comedians Joe Motisi (creator of the web-comic Adventures In Scumbagland and the podcast Dispatches From The Toboggan Factory), Lewis Rhine (co-creator and co-host of the podcast Barely Watchable), and Darwin Doobers (author of Laughs, Lies, And Lemonade: The Doobers Approach To Stand-Up Comedy).

Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $5.
