St. Charles Community Unit School District 303 this week trumpeted its the highest mark it has ever recorded in its annual District 303 Parent Satisfaction Survey.

In a news release this week, the district said that 2,114 parents responded to the survey, in which 84 percent said they were either “mostly” or “very” satisfied with their child’s school. The district said it’s previous parent satisfaction was was 80 percent, recorded in 2011-12.

This year’s results of the annual survey, which was begun in 1992-93, also saw District 303 hit its highest parent satisfaction rating by grade level, the release states.

“We want to thank all the parents who took the time to take the survey,” said Dr. Donald Schlomann, superintendent of schools. “The feedback we get from this survey is very important to us, especially the additional comments where parents address their concerns about some very specific issues.

“I read all the comments that are generated by this survey,” he continued. “In the past, the additional comments to the survey have led to actions taken by District 303 administration in a wide range of areas from curriculum to food service.”

District 303 conducted the survey from Dec. 11-18, 2012, via its website www.d303.org, asking all District 303 parents to fill out a survey at the proper grade level for each of their children who attend District 303 schools. The 2,114 responses to the survey are the second highest number of responses ever to the Parent Satisfaction Survey.
