Pierog Would Be Open-Minded Voice in State Senate

Letter to the Editor: Batavia resident endorses St. Charles School Board member over Jim Oberweis in the Nov. 6 General Election.

To the editor,

I have the pleasure of knowing Corrine Pierog, a candidate for the Illinois Senate in the 25th District, and heartily endorse her for that position.

Corrine offers a fresh new alternative to the usual list of political candidates. Her experience working with nonprofit organizations has taught her about being a prudent money manager when funds are limited, a much needed trait to bring to Springfield. Her experiences as a current member of the St. Charles School Board, a businesswoman, a former teacher and a Director of an organization that supports opportunities for children with developmental disabilities, make her a well-rounded individual who will empathize and relate to a broad range of constituents.

With all the news about the state pension crisis, Corrine will bring an open minded voice that will not blame the victims of a problem that was created by poor legislative decisions. Her experience as a school board member who must balance the needs of students, teachers, staff, administrators and the community bodes well for confronting problems and arriving at workable solutions.

Sincerely,

Howard Miller
Batavia, IL

Why do I care about a Liberal from Batavia trying to persuade me and my vote.

Clear answer, I don't and that's why I live in Kendall County because liberals are the minority of the voting block.

They offer little to actually make things operate and just drain the finances of everyone and anyone through taxing to make it legal.

No thanks Howie, from Jake in Kendall.

Open-Minded Ha Ha Ha! People are starting to figure out that the Democrat party is the new Communist party. Beware of Wolves in Sheep's Clothing.

And I'd like to know how Corrine got my Email address to send her propaganda? I never signed anything that was remotely connected to her campaign. I want it erased, but guess it will be in her "file" for a long time.

I wish all the politaitians would donate all the campaign funds to the economy, then we could have a balanced budget. I also received an email from this lady and sent it to my spam file. I generally don't vote for anyone that calls, stops at my house, or contacts me by email. Besides I voted early, and while I don't really like Mr. Oberwis his views are more in line with my thinking also. Bill Barkley

Einstein defined INSANITY as doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results - - Jim Oberweis is running for office for the SIXTH time despite the fact that he has lost the previous five. He has run for Senate, Governor & US Representative all in stunning losses. He was fined $21,000 by the FEC for violations of campaign finance law, he has been dubbed the "Perennial Loser", was given the nickname "Milk Dud" by Hastert staffers, and has spent over $6 million dollars in an effort to get elected to SOME kind of public office. Yup... INSANITY.
