Police Blotter: Raising Cain at Carroll Tower
Some inebriated young men took to hooliganism at a local retirement facility, breaking things and generally creating a ruckus.
Criminal Damage to Property
Todd Anthony Merrill, 23; David Joseph Bonk, 22; and Brandon Patrick Kamka, 23; all of Carol Stream, were charged with criminal damage to property and disorderly conduct. Merrill, according to reports, was also charged with resisting arrest.
Police responded around 1:45 a.m. Sunday, May 27, to a report of a disturbance at Carroll Tower, 200 N. 2nd Street, of someone running inside the hallways breaking things. Police reports say the three suspects were arrested and the building manager was called about the incident. Officers noted that door decorations had been stripped off the doors, glass vases were broken, chairs and a broken wood table were found inside an elevator. Police were gathering damage reports from residents.
Reports say the defendants appear to have been intoxicated. They'll be in court June 21, 2012
