Police: Custodian Attacked in Munhall School

Three men were involved in an assault and robbery last week, police say.

Police are searching for three men involved in the assault and robbery of a custodian while he was at work.

The unidentified custodian was taken to Delnor Hospital for treatment following the attack.

Officers were called at about 8:30 p.m. on Sept. 29 to a report of a robbery at the elementary school, located at 1400 S. 13th Ave.

The custodian told police that he had heard voices coming from the school’s gym. There, he found three white men in their early 20s.

One man reportedly punched the custodian in the head and threw him to the ground. Another man took the victim’s wallet, police said. They were last seen running east through the playground.

It’s not yet known how the men were able to get into the school. Another custodian working in the school reported seeing two men looking in windows earlier that night.
