Last Day to Vote Reader's Choice: What's Your Favorite Bike Shop?

Leave a review and a comment to vote for your pick.

2nd Editor's note: Due to an internal error, comments that were left on this story for All Spoked Up and The Bike Rack will count the same as a posted review. The option to leave a review was not included for these two businesses during the beginning of the contest. We apologize for the error.

Editor's note: This contest was updated to include All Spoked Up in Batavia. Don't forget to vote before noon this Friday, April 27!

With summer upon us people are beginning to think about bicycling along the Fox River. If you don't own a bicycle, or have friends coming to the area who don't own a bicycle, then how do you accomplish that ride?

There are several businesses in the area that rent bicycles. Patch wants to know what's your favorite bicycle rental shop?

What's your favorite place in the Tri-Cities to rent a bicycle?

Refer to this handy Q&A for instructions:

Q: How do I vote for my favorite business?

A: Voting breaks down like this:

  • Click on any of the dealers listed below. You'll be taken to the Places page for that business. Click on the words “Rate this business” and leave a written review. Reviews posted between Monday morning and noon Friday only will be considered for scoring.
  • Leave a comment at the bottom of this article. Share more praise for your favorite dealership. Comments will help us break a tie.
  • Vote in the poll below. Voting closes at noon on Friday.

Note: Because this poll is not scientific, it is not the sole consideration in choosing a winner. The winner will be determined by the Patch editor, based on poll results and reviews on Patch Places. Please vote only once per survey, per Patch.

Q: How will Patch decide the Readers' Choice?

A.: The top choice will be determined based on your reviews and comments. The top 3 dealers will be named Patch's Readers' Choice! Winners will receive a special certificate and recognition across the local Patch sites.

Q: You missed a dealer. What gives?

A: Whoops! Leave a comment on this article and let us know which one we missed.

Q: How long will I have to declare a favorite?

A: Voting ends at noon Friday, April 27Don’t wait—vote now!

Click on your favorite bike dealership and leave a rating, a review or both.

Bike Rack in the lead, but it's anybody's ballgame. Remember that listing reviews also count big toward the winner.

Amazing customer service, everyone there knows what they're talking about, and they do so many good things for people with disabilities with their adaptive bikes. I will never go to another bike shop.

The link above for All Spoked Up takes you to their website, not the Patch "places page" with a link to "rate this business" like the other bike shops - FYI

Thanks Angi. Both All Spoked Up and The Bike Rack had this issue. Therefore we are going to count all story comments left for those 2 businesses the same as reviews. Poll votes AND comments (equivalent of reviews if reviews were not available) will be the key to winning today. Thanks for participating!

All Spoked Up in Batavia by far!!! The staff is super friendly, and are experts in every type of bike you can imagine. Also, and what makes them my favorite, is that their staff is very patient. I'm a new to riding and they've never seemed annoyed with my questions like other stores I've been to

All spoked up is new to the area but the shop is well stocked and Matt took the time to help me find the right bike. The best part was the right bike was actually less expensive than the bike I thought I wanted. Honest business like this has made me a loyal customer.

The Bike Rack is terrific! They provide fast, quality service to our bikes. And don't forget all the great work their charitable arm, Project Mobility, does for children with disabilities and "wounded warriors."

The Bike Rack is the best all around. I shopped/researched in WI, IL, and IA for my first road bike. They had the best customer service, selection, and prices. Thanks for the fantastic service!

We're really fortunate to have so many quality bike shops in the area. I've bought 4 bikes from the Bike Rack, and accessories from Prairie Path and Bicycle Heaven.
All great shops, but BR and PPC seems to be getting all the attention here - I'd recommend visiting Bicycle Heaven. There's a definite focus on the serious racer/rider - I dare you to try and hang with them on a Thursday night ride this summer. But they know they need to accommodate the casual rider too. You won't go wrong at any of those three shops, though.

The Bike Rack is a great place to shop for a bike and anything bike related. Their entire staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The work they do building adaptable bikes for people with disabilities is amazing and that is why they should win this contest. Their hearts are in the business of helping others.

I hate going places and waiting around for a half hour before someone at the store gives me the time of day, and then treating me like I'm bothering them. "All Spoked Up" is the way to go. Best help and friendly service I've had at a bike shop in a long time. My first time there a couple months ago, i didnt even get in the door before i was helped by the dude inside. They have my business from now on.
