Show Your Pride, Cruise with Classic Cars or Just Chill This Weekend

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend. Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for when you're done with work and ready to get out. Check our picks for the activities to hit.

1. PRIDE OF THE FOX RIVERFEST
Where/When: Friday, Saturday and Sunday in downtown St. Charles.
Why Go: Celebrating 29 years, live music, activities of all kinds, something for everyone at seven venues.
Pricing: Free.

2. SUMMER CHILL: AN EVENING OF ONE-ACT PLAYS
Where/When: 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 3 p.m. Sunday at Geneva Underground Playhouse, 524 W. State St.
Why Go: Three plays on stage, one classic and two written by local playwrights. The classic is “Sorry, Wrong Number,” by Lucille Fletcher. The two locally written plays are “Be Bold, Be Bold,” by Donna Latham of Batavia, and “Dead Around Here” by Eric Schwartz, of Aurora.
Pricing: $15, $10 for students and seniors.

3. CLASSIC CAR SHOW/GREEN RIBBON RALLY
Where/When: 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at 34w002 Cherry Ln., Geneva.
Why Go: More than 80 cars will be on display from Monday Night Car Shows, Inc. The rally takes motorcycle riders to the Kane County Cougars' game. There will also be a live auction. It benefits the Walter Payton Liver Center at the University of Illinois Medical Center and the Jesse Brown Chicago VA Medical Center.
Pricing: Free.

4. ROOT HOG
Where/When: 9 p.m. Saturday at Tap House Grill, 3341 W. Main St., St. Charles.
Why Go: A jam band from Indiana.
Pricing: No cover.

5. FAMILY OUTDOOR ACTIVITY FAIR
Where/When:1-4  p.m. Sunday at Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory, Kirk Rd. & Pine St., Batavia.
Why Go: Activities include walking the emerging tallgrass prairie, netting for land and water critters and visiting the bison herd.
Pricing: Free.
