St. Charles Business Leader Donates $26,000 for D303
Donation for the science, technology, education and math program was made through the Greater St. Charles Education Foundation.
Bison Gear and Engineering Corporation Chairman Ron Bullock has donated $26,000 to the Greater St. Charles Education Foundation specifically to support St. Charles Community Unit School District 303’s Project Lead the Way program.
Project Lead the Way is a science, technology, education and math — or STEM — program in place at the high school and middle school levels in District 303. Project Lead the Way provides rigorous and innovative STEM curricular programs used in secondary schools across the United States.
“We are so pleased that Mr. Bullock has once again been generous in supporting both the students in District 303 and the mission of the Greater St. Charles Education Foundation,” said foundation President Deb Mulrooney. “Mr. Bullock is a true community business leader who in addition to supporting our local economy in the present, also supports our community’s future as well.”
Bison Gear and Engineering Corporation is a manufacturer with a strong engineering tradition that provides substantial added value in the power transmission and motion control products it brings to market. In addition to locating their business headquarters in St. Charles, Bison Gear and Engineering Corporation further supports the community through organizations such as the Northern Illinois Food Bank, the Bear Necessities Pediatric Cancer Foundation and other charitable groups through BisonCares.
“We thank Mr. Bullock for the additional support he is providing to the students of District 303,” said District 303 Superintendent Dr. Don Schlomann. “He represents the importance that members of this community place on doing everything possible to give our schools the resources to prepare our students for the future.”

I tip my hat to Mr. Bullock. The interest of the private sector in public education
is a noble cause. Citizens like Mr. Bullock deserve our humble appreciation for
trying to make our community better.
