St. Charles Council OKs April 20 Shelby Mustang Show

Street closure and sound amplification permits approved for public show, which is a wedding gift to a local couple.

The St. Charles City Council on Monday night gave its blessing to Denna Wells and fiance Judd Nilles, giving final approval to their plans for a Shelby Mustang show that will be open to the public along Riverside Avenue, south of Main Street, on April 20.

The show is a wedding gift to the couple, who are self-professed fans of the Shelby Mustang, and is expected to draw more than 100 vehicles, which will be on display along Riverside between Main Street and Illinois Avenue. The council approved a street closure permit and a sound amplification permit for the affair. The street will be closed beginning about 3 p.m., although the car show, put on by Double-K Productions, will run from about 4 or 4:30 to 8:30 p.m.
