St. Charles Gas Guide: Jan. 24, 2013

The Costco on Randall Road near Oak Street continues to offer the cheapest credit price for regular grade gas in the area. No. 2 was Shell, 2500 E. Main St.

AAA’s Daily Fuel Gauge Report showed that nationally, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline on Thursday is $3.316 a gallon, up slightly from $3.310 a day earlier, also up from $3.294 a week ago. The national average of a gallon of regular gas a month ago was $3.247, but was $3.381 a year ago. The highest recorded average price for a gallon of regular gasoline was $4.114 on July 17, 2008.
