Retail Theft

Robin A. Appelhans, 52, of the 100 block of Lakeside Drive, was charged at 5:23 p.m. Kohl’s, 3840 E. Main St., with retail theft. According to the report, a loss-prevention officer said Appelhans was seen on Feb. 7 entering a dressing room with a box containing a $150 coffee maker. When she left the dressing room, she then placed the box back on the shelf and left the store. Loss-prevention personnel checked the box and learned it was empty, but Appelhans already had left the store. At 3:30 on Feb. 19, loss-prevention personnel saw Appelhans return to the store and take several items of clothing into a dressing room. After she left, a loss-prevention officer entered the dressing room and found some price tags that had been removed from some swimwear. Appelhans was followed out of the store and stopped. The report stated she had in her purse two pairs of swim pants and a swim coverall with a combined value of $118. The total loss was reported as $275.99. She posted $150 and was released pending an April 4, 2013, court appearance.

Warrant Arrest

Felix Lopez-Crescenciano, 40, of the 1900 block of Wessel Court, was arrested at 6:58 a.m. in the 1400 block of Prairie Street on an unspecified warrant. He posted $300 and was released pending a March 21, 2013 court appearance.
