A weekend fire damaged the second floor of a north-side St. Charles house, causing an estimated $40,000 in damage.
Firefighters from the Fox River & Countryside Fire/Resuce District put out the second-floor bedroom fire inside the house, located at 36W800 block of Crane Road, according to a Kane County Chronicle article from Aug. 20.
