Medicare provides Check List for Preventive Services on page 51.
All over 65 must check that list and try to get --what is " I need"-Yes.
Many of these tests are covered--so if you want to live healthy life-- Get them ASAP.
Sign up for 20% that Medicare does not cover along with Prescription drug plans. PPO plans offer you more flexibility--in case of serious problems--allowing you second opinion or treatment/surgery with any provider. That is what I recommended to my parents. Please look at page 55--What are my medicare Choices? If confused--talk to Medicare.

I must bring to your attention that genetically modified foods, predominantly pushed forward by seed conglomerate, Monsanto, have been linked to colon cancer. Monstanto and Bayer (the maker of this new colon cancer drug), have partnered in much research, which can be found in a variety of reputable articles.

I appreciate your suggestion of prevention thru receiving these tests, but let's not overlook changing diet habits, with a focus on non-GMO food sources. Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, and Fruitful Yield have taken a stance against GMO foods. Hopefully support of non-GMO foods, and refusal to buy & consume GMO foods will put a squeeze on Monstanto and other companies that support the genetic modification of foods.

Please read our blog--Does Foods we eat affect our health in Geneva,Il.patch written on Aug.1,2012.
You make a good point. See my comment--where I am suggesting that Colon Screening is far cheaper than cure(which these co.drugs offer-6 months more life).
Colon Screening cost is less than 1500$ compared to cure--500,000$.

Good Point. Healthy living means
1) Eating proper nutrition
2) Physical exercise
3) Finding ways to reduce Stress.
My Point:
a) These anti-cancer drugs prolong life by 6 months at HUGE COSTS
b) Colonoscopy -early screening at 40 and 25 for those with family history can Eliminate the chances of Colon Cancer.
c) We are offering Colon Screening for almost 50% off--as we want to elimate this Colon Cancer. Please call 630 232 2025 for details.
