Take a Trip Back in Time Today in St. Charles

Cruise Nite: If it’s summertime and it’s Tuesday, it can only mean one thing — it’s Tuesday Cruise Night on First Street Plaza in downtown St. Charles. Come down to the plaza and stroll down memory lane — whether you love vintage, classic or muscle cars, there’s a little something for everyone, and most will take you back in time. The event is hosted by the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce

Life in the 1840s: Children from 8 to 15 can discover what life was like way back when as the Garfield Farm Museum hosts the second of its three-day camps today through Thursday, July 25. Sessions run from 9 a.m. to noon, so act quickly so you child can learn about life in the mid-1800s.


Community Dinner: St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in St. Charles is hosting its “Fourth Tuesdays” community dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. in the church’s felllowship hall. The fare for July includes grilled hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, macaroni salad and more. The dinner’s free, but donations are appreciated.

Learn about VA Benefits for Assisted Living: Autumn Leaves is hosting this educational workshop at 6 p.m. The free workshop is open to the public and will be held at Autumn Leaves, 10 N. Peck Road. This is a must for those facing the challenges of elder care.
