Monday and especially Tuesday could be especially brutal during the day, so if you are looking for something to do during the day, your best bet is to find something indoors — at least until the evening, when temperatures are supposed to drop to a more tolerable level.
Blame it on a late-summer heat wave the moved into the area on Sunday and on Monday is expected to push the high temperature to 91 degrees, although humidity could push the heat index even higher, meaning temperatures could feel like 95 degrees, according to AccuWeather.
With an overnight low of 70 degrees predicted, the evening seems to be the best time to plan anything today — unless you intend to head home to cool off next to a fan or air-conditioning, or a dip in the pool if that is an option.
A glance at St. Charles Patch’s Upcoming Events shows only one listed today — a St. Charles City Council Government Services Committee meeting that normally would be scheduled today was canceled.
So if you are single and feel like getting your feet moving, the St. Charles Singles Club Dance and Dance Lesson is scheduled at 7:30 p.m. at Villa Olivia, 1401 W. Lake St., Bartlett.
