Today in St. Charles: Hot Temps, Mall Redevelopment Plans

Summer seems in no hurry to give way to the approach of fall, if today’s forecast is any indication.

Partly sunny and warmer conditions will see temperatures climb to 91, but the heat index will be 97, according to AccuWeather.

Perhaps the day’s highs will add heat to the excitement about a new conceptual plan for Charlestowne Mall, which the contract buyer for the mall will present to the St. Charles City Council Planning & Development Committee at 7 p.m. in the St. Charles Municipal Center’s City Council Chambers, 2 E. Main St.
