Today in St. Charles: Music and Movies

Howard and the White Boys close the summer Concert in the Park series tonight, while the Arcada begins its Equine Film Festival.

If you’re looking for something to do today in St. Charles, there are both musical and cinematic options in store for you.

Free Concert in the Park: Tonight’s is the last one of the season and promises to close out the season in style with a performance by Howard and the White Boys, one of the Chicago area’s favorite blues bands. They’ll be at Lincoln Park in downtown St. Charles at 7 p.m. in the gazebo. Arrive early to find parking and good seats. Then sit back on a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the show.

The Arcada Theatre, 105 E. Main St., hosts its first Equine Film Festival, Aug. 15-18, with films twice daily through Sunday. Check out the lineup on the Arcada’s Info page for the festival. The festival leads into this weekend’s Festival of the Horse and Drum.
