Community Update

 Vero Voce
School of Performing Arts in St Charles is proud to announce the addition of
Daniel Eastwood to their teaching staff.



Daniel holds
a Bachelor of Music Degree from Northern Illinois University where he studied
with Dr. Greg Beyer, Dr. Richard Holly, Prof. Rober Chappell, and Prof. Michael
Mixtacki.



Daniel is a
versatile percussionist and experienced educator. Daniel is an active member of
the Project Two Percussion Duo and The Chicago Bears Drumline. He is also a
former member of the 2008 and 2009 World Champion Indoor Percussion Ensemble,
Pioneer Indoor. His experience spans a wide range of musical genres and
ensembles. During his time at Northern Illinois University, he performed with
The Latin Jazz Ensemble, Philharmonic, Wind Ensemble, Steel Band, Berimbau
Sextet, Chinese Music Ensemble, Afro-Cuban Drumming Group, Marching Band,
Percussion Ensemble, and Jazz Combo. As an active percussionist Daniel has
performed in such venues as Millennium Park, The Museum of Contemporary Arts in
Chicago, Soldier Field, Harper College and in Indianapolis at the Percussive
Arts Society International Convention.

Daniel’s
interest in percussion instruments and techniques from around the world have
led him to study music from Cuba, The Dominican Republic, Venezuela, and travel
to Puerto Rico where he studied both the country’s traditional music and
popular music.



In addition
to performing, Daniel Eastwood remains an active percussion educator. His
experience includes both private instruction as well as large groups. Daniel
has worked with many high schools in Illinois including William Fremd High
School, Normal Community High School, Bolingbrook High School, Kaneland High
School, and El Paso Gridley High School. Additionally, while Daniel was a
student at NIU, he gave private lessons as a percussion instructor for the NIU
Community School of the Arts.

Vero Voce was
established in 2001 specializing in private voice, piano lessons and musical
theatre coaching expanded into a 5,000 square foot facility with multiple
studios, classrooms, and a theatre at 951 State Avenue, Suite F, in St Charles.
Course offerings include all instruments, voice and theatre classes and a full
season of adult musical and non-musical productions and a full season of
children’s theatre productions.
