Fox Valley Rep Awarded Grant from Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley

Fox Valley Repertory is pleased to announce that the Community Foundation of the Fox River Valley awarded a capital improvement grant in the amount of $9,502 for the purchase of eight new frequency-based hearing devices and ten Shure wireless microphones to improve their hearing amplification needs.

The grant helped Fox Valley Rep to supply their patrons with a one-ear device that allows for a strong, clear signal from the microphones while still allowing the patron to hear their surroundings with their other ear.  Ultimately, it will provide for the complete professional and quality experience Fox Valley Rep strives to give their patrons every time they visit the theater.

Karen Kirkby and Ralph Tovar of Bartlett were the first theater patrons to use the new system while attending a performance of Nunsense, and they were impressed with the quality of the amplification.

“The ear piece is very comfortable to wear, and I could hear the actors and music perfectly,” says Karen.

“It’s very easy to use,” adds Ralph. “I think other patrons will enjoy the ease of this system as much as I did.”
