Musical Theatre Classes in Elburn

Self-Esteem for Life Foundation (SELF) is excited to sponsor GodStage, which will offer musical theatre classes in Elburn, Aurora and Naperville.

 

GodStage is all about building self-esteem and core values through family-friendly performing arts. Teaching respect and responsibility, along with other life skills such as public speaking, is the primary goal.

At GodStage, it's all about the kids learning and creating in a safe, supportive environment. While a few participants may go on to become professional actors, ALL students will learn teamwork, improve reading skills, build confidence, make friends and have fun!

Classes for grades 2-8 include singing, dancing and memorizing lines from “Cinderella” with a final performance on the last day for family and friends.

AURORA:  Two Brothers Roundhouse

ELBURN:  Elburn Community Center

Wednesdays from 6-8pm, November 6-December 18

Tracy specializes in coaching children and teens, and has been training and directing young actors for over 15 years.


A photographer, modeling coach, director and performing arts teacher, Tracy Whiteside has been in the entertainment and fashion business for over 30 years. She has directed over 50 youth musicals, and taught performing arts at Elgin College and Christian Youth Theatre. As a Board Member of First Street Playhouse, she directed and produced plays at the theatre.

Now serving as the Education Manager at Fox Valley Rep Theatre at Pheasant Run Resort, Tracy directs children's musicals and is responsible for the development and staffing of the Performing Arts Academy.

 

Self-Esteem for Life Foundation (SELF) is 501 C 3 non-profit organization dedicated to building self-esteem among young people through the performing arts. Youth ages 3 to 20 have the opportunity to create a musical theatre production, and can participate by singing, acting or dancing. Those not interested in performing can work backstage, on sets, costumes, lighting, sound, and more.
