Todd LaSota Joins CSI's Elgin Campus as Director of Admissions

ELGIN, IL (October 21, 2013) – Todd LaSota, a 10-year veteran of the college admissions field, has been named Director of Admissions at the Elgin campus of the Computer Systems Institute (CSI). The campus offers eight-month career training programs in information technology, healthcare and business administration focusing on practical learning, preparation for professional certifications, and career services including resume and interviewing skills.

LaSota is responsible for leading a team that handles all admissions inquiries, answers questions about the school and its curriculum, and shepherds prospective students through the application process. The Elgin campus receives about 8,000 inquiries annually and enrolls more than 800 students from that pool every year.

“Our Elgin campus draws students from a 20-mile radius who are either unemployed, underemployed or looking for a career change and want affordable, fast-track career training in industries with substantial job growth,” said Dawn Bravo, CSI Elgin Campus President. “Todd’s admissions experience, his understanding of the support that prospective students need in investigating their educational options, and his success in building strong admissions teams make him a valuable asset in helping us serve the career training needs of the far northwest suburbs.”

The CSI Elgin campus opened in 2011 and is one of four CSI locations in the Chicago area. It offers morning, afternoon, evening and weekend classes and has forged important partnerships with local community organizations, including the Elgin Hispanic Network and the Advanced Preschool day care center, to assist students in need of support to meet their educational objectives.
