High Holiday schedule at Temple B'nai Israel

Temple B'nai Israel will hold High Holiday services for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur at the Temple, 400 N. Edgelawn Dr. in Aurora. 

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, will begin Sunday, Sept. 16 with a 6:30 p.m. service. Services for the first and second days of the holiday, Monday, Sept. 17 and Tuesday, Sept. 18, will begin at 9 a.m. 

Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, begins Tuesday, Sept. 25 with the Kol Nidre service at 6:15 p.m. Services for Wednesday, Sept. 26 begin at 9 a.m. A break the fast will be held at the Temple following the Havdalah service the evening of Sept. 26.

There will be conservative, egalitarian and traditional services as well as Junior Congregation services for children during the High Holidays.

Temple B'nai Israel is a family-oriented synagogue serving the diverse Jewish community in the western suburbs. The temple offers a comprehensive religious education program for children in pre-K through high school that features a dynamic, hands-on curriculum in Hebrew, Jewish history, ethics and religious observances.
