St. Charles’ Christ Community Church Targets Hunger

Church on the West Side of St. Charles to pack 1 million meals for starving children.

, (http://ccclife.org/) will partner with Feed My Starving Children to host a series of “MobilePack” events in November, where volunteers will work together to pack 1 million meals for hungry children around the world.

The MobilePack events will take place across all four Christ Community campuses on the following days:

  • St. Charles Campus: Nov. 3-4 and Nov. 9-10
  • DeKalb: Nov. 2-3
  • Aurora (Blackberry Creek): Nov. 9-10
  • Bartlett: Nov. 9-10

“We are very excited to be partnering with Feed My Starving Children,” said Larry Stratton, director of community impact for Christ Community Church. “We hope to have 5,000 volunteers from the church and the community banding together to express God’s love in a very tangible way.”

At the Feed My Starving Children MobilePack events, kids and adults alike have the memorable opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of starving children. Feed My Starving Children ships meals to nearly 70 countries around the world, and according to Stratton, “Many of these meals will be going to Nicaragua where we work with a partner there who helps distribute the food.”

Anyone interested in participating in the Feed My Starving Children MobilePack events is encouraged to register for a 2-hour packing spot at ccclife.org/fmsc. Volunteers do not need to attend Christ Community Church.
