The Greater St. Charles Convention and Visitors Bureau says festival attendance has grown to as many as 150,000 in recent years. That’s one reason the Visitors Bureau encourages visitors to park remotely for free, and then to catch a free shuttle ride to and from your vehicle.
The idea is to ease parking and heavy traffic congestion in the downtown even while ensuring fest-goers have easy access to Scarecrow Fest.
Visitors are encouraged to use the two remote lots and rely on the free shuttle service:
- Charlestowne Mall, Lot H on the East Side.
- Illinois and 7th Streets on the West Side.
