2012 Scarecrow Fest Captures AAA Insurance as Presenting Sponsor

St. Charles' annual fall celebration, which this year runs Oct. 5 to Oct. 7, draws tens of thousands of visitors.

Two famous visuals will join forces in promoting the 2012 Scarecrow Fest when the jovial, smiling Scarecrow familiar throughout the Fox Valley is joined by the internationally recognized oval logo, according to officials from AAA Insurance and the Greater St. Charles Convention & Visitors Bureau.

AAA and the visitors bureau announced in a joint release that the insurance arm of AAA will be the presenting sponsor for the Columbus Day Weekend festival, Oct. 5 to 7, in St. Charles.

The partnership marks the first time in the festival’s 27-year history that a national brand has sought the autumn festival’s “presented by” position, which the Greater St. Charles Convention & Visitors Bureau, coordinating agency of the festival, attributes to the national recognition the event garners.

“There is no greater compliment than having an iconic corporate presence throughout our festival footprint and included in all of the festival’s marketing initiatives,” said Amy Egolf, executive director of the local convention bureau. “We are excited about the partnership with AAA Insurance and the 2012 Scarecrow Festival.”

“AAA Insurance is proud to be a presenting sponsor of this festival; we have long been a part of the Tri-Cities region with our offices in St. Charles and Geneva and know that the Scarecrow Festival is one of the premiere fall events in Chicagoland,” said Brad Roeber, regional president of AAA Chicago. “AAA Insurance looks forward to this partnership, our increased presence at the festival and the opportunity to show the region all that AAA Insurance has to offer.”
