Acosta’s, an upscale furniture and décor consignment store at 1920 W. Main St., is moving into the former Amlings Flowerland location, the release states. After more than 20 years in the St. Charles location, Amlings Flowerland closed in May 2013 with plans to reopen this fall.
Acosta’s and Amlings will share the space together, offering a combination of furniture, décor, florals and gifts, according to the release. The store plans to open before the annual Scarecrow Fest during the second week of October.
According to the release, the combined shop hopes to offer “a fun place to shop” for the diners at the many restaurants and bars in the downtown district.
Acosta’s Consignment is owned by Certified Personal Property Appraisers, Cesilio and Christine Acosta, the release states.
