Bulldog Ale House Sets Sights on Downtown St. Charles
Sports bar won't be opening at former Bennigan's on East Side, owner says.
Bull Dog Ale House owner Matt Ahmeti has decided against opening in the former Bennigan’s pm St. Charles’ East Side and instead is seeking a site downtown, MySuburbanLife.com reports.
Ahmeti had planned to open in the former Bennigan’s site in April or June but changed his mind. He would not tell MySuburbanLife.com what changed his mind, but he did say he is looking at two downtown locations.
Ahmeti received initial approval of a B3 liquor license to open a Bull Dog Ale House at the former Bennigan’s, 3615 E. Main St., . Bull Dog Ale House has locations in Carol Stream and Roselle. The former Bennigant’s is in the city’s East Side business corridor and has remained virtually empty since 2008.
