Comedic Stuntman Steve-O to Perform in St. Charles
The star of the Jackass television show and film series will bring his tour to Zanies at Pheasant Run Resort.
Steve-O, stand-up comedian and star of the Jackass television show and film series, will bring his "Entirely Too Much Information" tour to in St. Charles for three shows Sept. 2-3.
The MTV star, who also was a contestant on Dancing with the Stars in 2009, got his start in performing when he enrolled in the Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Clown College to learn to become a professional stuntman, according to the Zanies website.
He eventually was chosen as a cast member for MTV’s Jackass television show, which premiered in 2000 and featured Steve-O and several other men performing painful stunts and practical jokes on one another.
Steve-O starred in all three Jackass films, including Jackass 3D, which was released in 2010. Before the film’s release, he dedicated himself to stand-up comedy which had been a part-time hobby during the previous four years. Performances at various high-profile venues led to his current tour, which includes him performing standup, stunts and bar tricks.
His autobiography, Professional Idiot: A Memoir, was released earlier this summer.
