Jennifer Faivre's resignation was announced earlier this week.

The Board of Directors for Downtown St. Charles Partnership now are tasked with finding a new Executive Director after Jennifer Faivre resigned last week.

The directors had a scheduled meeting on Friday where they were to begin discussion on the search process.

Faivre's resignation was effective Feb. 9.

“She did a tremendous job (of) rebuilding. She did a really good job of it,” said board President John Hughes.

The board have multitude of questions to answer about the coming search—should an interim be selected and how long will the search process take, just to name two.

Hughes said he believed they will follow a similar search process as the one that lead the Partnership board to Faivire. This process will involve figuring out how long it will take to find the right candidate and deciding, based on that timeframe, whether an interim executive director is called for.

The announcement of Faivre’s resignation circulated after an email was sent on Monday to members of the Partnership informing them of the news.

In the email, Favire is said to be leaving in “order to pursue another opportunity.” It does not specify what the opportunity is. A message left with Favire this week was not returned.

The Partnership is a nonprofit organization that works to promote business in downtown St. Charles.
