Heaven must be shining down on St. Charles’ East Main Street/Route 64 — The Weather Channel says no rain and less warm today as local officials gather for a ribbon-cutting marking completion of the two-year-long road project.
The western end of the roadway reconstruction project — from 7th Avenue to Kirk Road — is substantially complete and all four lanes are open. The eastern portion of the project, from 38th Avenue to Route 59, is on track for substantial completion by Oct. 1.
The chamber’s website states that the ribbon-cutting is slated from 4:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013, at Foxboro Plaza, 2400 E. Main St.
