Tri-Cities Gas Guide: Feb. 20, 2013

Our weekly guide to help you find the lowest prices per gallon in the Tri-Cities of Batavia, Geneva and St. Charles.

The price of gasoline is continuing its upward trend, with the national average price climbing 14.8 cents a gallon from a week ago, and 46.1 cents a gallon in the past month.

The Costco on Randall Road near Oak Street in St. Charles, and the in Batavia had the cheapest gas prices in the Tri-Cities on Wednesday night, according to Illinois Gas Prices.

AAA’s Daily Fuel Gauge Report showed that nationally, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline on late Wednesday was $3.766 a gallon, up from $3.748 a day earlier, also up from $3.618 a week ago. The national average of a gallon of regular gas a month ago was $3.305, but was $3.570 a year ago. The highest recorded average price for a gallon of regular gasoline was $4.114 on July 17, 2008.
