Tri-Cities Gas Guide for July 18, 2013: Prices Rising

Use our weekly guide to find the lowest gasoline prices in the Tri-Cities of Batavia, Geneva and St. Charles.

National average gasoline prices have jumped up 15.1 cents per gallon over the past week but are up only 6.2 cents per gallon of regular gasoline from a month ago.


Meantime, Tri-Cities gas prices generally were above the statewide average price of a gallon of regular gasoline, which was $3.969 Thursday.


The paid-membership gas station Sam’s Club in Batavia had the lowest prices per gallon of regular gasoline in the Tri-Cities on Thursday, according to Illinois Gas Prices.

AAA’s Daily Fuel Gauge Report showed that nationally, the average price for a gallon of regular gasoline on Thursday was $3.669 a gallon, up from $3.657a day earlier and up from $3.518 a week ago. The national average of a gallon of regular gas a month ago was $3.607, and was $3.426 a year ago. The highest recorded national average price for a gallon of regular gasoline was $4.114 on July 17, 2008.
