St Charles Arts Council seeks Visual Art and Film for city-wide art event

The St Charles Arts Council, in partnership with the Greater St. Charles Education Foundation and CUSD303, is seeking student Visual and Film art for an Art and Film Gallery to be featured during the Inaugural All-City, All-Arts Event – Charlie’s Center for the Arts – Student Artist EventALL of the ARTS, ALL over TOWN occurring Friday, February 14 through Sunday, February 16, 2014.

The Charlie’s Student Artist Event will encompass multiple venues throughout St. Charles and will feature the visual and performing art of student artists, kindergarten through college. Visual and Film artists’ work will show during the event in the student-only neXt gallery, the St Charles Arts Council’s pop-up art gallery program to be located at BMO/Harris Bank, 1 E. Main Street, St. Charles. The neXt gallery is scheduled to show February 14 through March 9, 2014, and artists’ work will be for sale, if they choose. 

Students, kindergarten through college, are invited to participate and to submit work for jurying to the S. Charles Arts Council BY MONDAY, JANUARY 13, 2014.

Visual and Film art may be submitted using one of the following options:

1.    Electronic submissions to ArtistLiaison@StCharlesArtsCouncil.org

2.    Mailed submissions to St Charles Arts Council, 2 East Main Street, St. Charles, IL

3.    In person delivery to the Reception Desk of the Municipal Building

All submitted work MUST include the artist’s name, physical address, phone number, and school attended.
