5 Things You Should Know About Monday, May 30

Here are today's 5 must-know items about happenings in St. Charles.

1. The raising of the colors will begin today's in St. Charles. This event starts at 6:00 a.m., at the . 

2. Memorial Day  will take place today at the North, South, and Union Cemeteries today, at 6:30 a.m. There will be an honor guard, firing squad, and posting of the colors at all three locations. 

3. St. Charles will begin their today at 10:00 a.m. The parade route begins on 6th St. and will continue to Riverside Ave., where there will be a ceremony at the Freedom Shrine.

4. The will start at 7:30 a.m., on Main St., from 14th St. to 1st. Street. All types of runners are invited to participate in this event which raises funds to support military service members, their families, and veterans. 

5. Pre-'83 Memorial Day Car Show will begin registering vehicles at 8:00 a.m., and will feature only American made cars produced before 1983. This event will feature music from the 1950's and 60's, a hall-of-fame vehicle vote, and a participant vote; 101 trophies to be awarded in all. Awards will be given out at approximately 3:00 p.m., please click here for more information.
