5 Things You Should Know for Tuesday, June 14

Here are today's must-know items for St. Charles.

1. The St. Charles Park District Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. at . The public is welcome to attend; please click here for a meeting agenda.

2.  will conduct story time for children, ages infant to 5, who are accompanied by a parent, grandparent, or caregiver. Two sessions are available from 9:30 to 10 a.m. and 10:30 to 11 a.m. This is a free event and registration is not required. Please bring a St. Charles library card. 

3. Flag Day commemorates the adoption of the nation's flag by the Second Continental Congress 1777. In 1916, President Woodrow Wilson issued a proclamation claiming June 14 as Flag Day; in 1949 an act of Congress established National Flag Day.
