Aldermen Balk at Number of Townhouses Proposed for St. Charles Development

Fewer is better, says the St. Charles City Council.

The St. Charles City Council shot down an element of the proposed Allied Composites housing development that calls for 80 percent townhouses, The Daily Herald reports.

The alderman indicated they would rather see between 100 and 130 residences for the Lexington Club site, rather than the 142 currently proposed by developers.
