Looks Like a Serious Line of Storms Coming Wednesday Morning—Expect an Inch or More of Rain

The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement saying storms are coming.

At 8:37 a.m., the National Weather Service Doppler Radar indicated strong thunderstorms along a line extending from Harvard to Belvidere to Ashton moving east at 30 mph.

Heavy downpours are expected, which will reduce visibility to less than a quarter mile.

Frequent lightening strikes and a few wind gusts up to 40 mph are possible, according to NWS-Chicago in a Special Weather Statement. Up to one inch of rain is expected to fall in one hour.
