National Magazine Names St. Charles the Top Place to Live for Families

Family Circle cites affordable homes, quality schools and access to health care among criteria for choosing St. Charles.

It would be interesting to hear what those other cities payed in taxes,to be able to compare our fair city, with them! Even though house prices are averaging 30% below just 3 years ago, our taxes keep rising! This article does place us in a good light, however, there are many under laying concerns, that are not discussed here, and that is what should also determine how "livable",and thus, affordable, a city is for their families!

Great ! This is wonderful news for St. Charles. After I read the above two negative comments by residents, without taking the bubbly out of this honor, I think it would be interesting to do an investigative or pro-con analysis. But nonetheless, I am thrilled for St. Charles to get this honor. Wendy Stebbins
