New Marketing Manager Joins Downtown St. Charles Partnership

Scott Piner, formerlly of Fox Valley Repertory, begins June 25.

The has a new marketing and development director. Scott Piner, former development manager for , will join the DSCP later this month.

Piner will focus his efforts on "creating and implementing a marketing program for Downtown St. Charles, as well as managing the business development program and working with special events," according to a DSCP press release.

, Executive Director of the Downtown St. Charles Partnership, said that Piner is a natural fit for this role.

"Scott already has relationships with many of our downtown stakeholders, and understands their needs. His prior experience and proven ability to implement new programs will be great assets to the organization, and we look forward to having him as part of our team," she said in a release.

Piner said he is thrilled about the new opportunity with DSCP.

"I am thrilled to join the partnership and excited to help grow our downtown,” he siad.  “There is great energy and a positive outlook that has me ecstatic about working with our business owners and all stakeholders."

In addition to his work with FVR, Piner has worked for other non-profits, with a focus on cultural arts operations and programming for cultural arts education and training.

Piner, who begins with DSCP June 25, received his Bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University, and holds an MBA with an emphasis in Organizational Behavior from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management. He resides in St. Charles with his wife and daughter.
