St. Charles Police Blotter: Car Stolen, Bicycles Taken From Open Garage

Vehicle Stolen


An Itasca woman who loaned her silver 2012 Volkswagen Jetta to a male friend from Chicago reported 6:50 p.m. that her car was stolen after her friend parked it in the lot at Enterprise Rental, 2055 Lincoln Highway, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, where he had gone to retrieve his personal vehicle. When he returned to retrieve it about 1 a.m. Friday, the locked vehicle was gone.


Residential Burglary


A resident of the 3800 block of Greenwood Lane reported at 9:02 a.m. that overnight on Oct. 3-4, 2013, someone entered his attached garage through the open door and stole a Schwinn ladies’ Crossfit 12-speed bicycle, and a men’s Trek 750 21-speed black bicycle. In addition, someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the garage and went through the glovebox, but nothing was reported taken.
