St. Charles Redistricting Task Force Meets to Redraw Wards

The committee is scheduled to meet again in December.

Efforts are underway to redraw the wards.

A committee of aldermen convened on Monday to discuss how to reorganize the wards and balance the more than 32,000 residents in the city, according to the Daily Herald.

They will meet again this December.

In September, the city council approed the creation of the , which is made up of Aldermen James Martin, Cliff Carrignan, and William Turner.

The city has until 30 days before the 2013 municipal election to set the new boundaries.
