Trustees Sought for St. Charles Park Foundation Board

Those interested in serving are required to submit letters of interest.

The St. Charles Park Foundation is seeking individuals who would like to serve on its Board of Trustees.

The Foundation, a not-for-profit independent organization, assists the St. Charles Park District in the acquisition, conservation, preservation, development and operation of lands and the fostering of recreational programs and activities, according to a press release from the Foundation.

The Foundation is involved in several projects, including the Primrose Farm Frolic, Sculpture in the Park, the Recreation Scholarship Participant Program and the Memorial Tree Program.

The Foundation’s 12 trustees volunteer to provide direction, motivation and guidance regarding issues related to parks and open spaces in St. Charles and they may also be called upon to initiate and carry out fundraising campaigns.

Trustees attend monthly board meetings which are at 6:30 p.m. on second Thursdays of the month. They are also asked to participate in special advisory committees.
