Theatre-on-the-Hill presents CLOSET LAND

SUNDAY PERFORMANCES BEGIN AT 3:00PM

A disturbingly perfect allegory of our times, Radha Bharadwaj's CLOSET LAND is also perfectly terrifying. This visceral, intense, dangerous thriller is set in a nameless dystopian society where two unnamed adversaries engage in a harrowing yet intimate struggle for power, sanity and ultimately life. Artfully concealed within complex layers of deception and brutality lies a twisted love story, devastating in its rawness and delving further into the nature of strength, resistance and the freedom of choice.

Perhaps more relevant today than ever, the script, based on the 1989 award-winning screenplay of the same name, is remarkably, horrifyingly prescient as if Stephen King and George Orwell had collaborated to write a '50 Shades of Grey' cautionary tale that came true. Subversive to the point of sedition, CLOSET LAND is a defiant masterpiece that cuts to the heart...and to the bone.
