District 205 Foundation will host a new fund-raiser, the Top Pizza event, from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 13, at York High School Commons. This event is geared to everyone and is family-friendly. Nine local pizzerias are participating: Armand’s, Fratello’s, Lucia’s, Mamma Maria’s, Nancy’s, Pazzi di Pizza, Pizza Palace, Roberto’s and Two Brothers. Those who attend will be able to taste pizza from each of the pizzerias and then vote for their favorites. We’ll announce the Top Pizza winner the following week.
Tickets can be purchased at the event for $10. Water and pop will be available for purchase.
This is a great way to grab Friday night dinner for the entire family while also supporting the District 205 Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to innovations in education and the advancement of excellence in Elmhurst’s public schools. York High School’s performance of is also occurring that evening at 7:30 p.m., so families can make it an complete evening by stopping by Top Pizza first for dinner.

Anyone who can’t attend but still wants to vote for their favorite pizzeria (or just wants to stuff the ballot box!), can vote online for a $5 donation at www.elmhurst205.org/TopPizzaNight.

Thanks to the generosity of participating pizzerias, almost all of the money made that evening will directly benefit the foundation’s programs.

OK, I've been hunting for the best pizza in Elmhurst for years and have recently been swerving from my original picks! Here's my chance to vote. I recently had an outstanding slice from a little hole in the wall on York called "Paulie's Pizzaria".

"Paulie's Pizzaria" has changed to "Lucia's" so they will be there after all.

Two Brothers has now been added to the group!
