Electric Christmas Parade Winning Entries Announced

A record 15,000 people gather along Main Street for Electric Christmas Parade.


The St. Charles Holiday Homecoming weekend concluded Saturday, Nov. 30 with the Electric Christmas Parade attracting more than 15,000 people along Main Street, the largest attendance on record.


Presented by the Downtown St. Charles Partnership and their sponsors, the parade culminated a weekend of complimentary holiday activities.

The Electric Christmas Parade featured Boy Scout Troop One as grand marshals, celebrating the troop’s 100 year anniversary, and also highlighted Mayor Raymond Rogina and St. Charles aldermen, Miss Illinois Brittany Smith, and Santa and Mrs. Claus.  The weekend also featured the Lighting of the Lights ceremony, a holiday movie at The Arcada Theatre, sleigh rides, and visits with Santa, which continue from 1 to 4 p.m. each Saturday and Sunday at First Street Plaza through Dec. 22, 2013.
