NFL Sportscaster James Brown Speaking at St. Charles Church

Known by the nickname "J.B.," Brown will talk about faith and family Feb. 11-12 at Christ Community Church.

Veteran sports analyst James Brown will speak about faith and family Feb. 11-12 at in St. Charles.

Brown will be a part of the church's annual WOW Weekend.

“(Brown) is one of the most highly respected sports anchors in the business. We are excited to have him with us to share his experiences in the sports world and his keys to living a life of significance," said Larry Stratton, community impact director at Christ Community Church.

Senior Pastor Jim Nicodem at Christ Community Church, located at the northwest corner of Randall Road and Bolcum Road, will interview Brown. He is expected to share football stories and "challenges each of us to fulfill our unique God-given role in order to improve the lives of others," according to information provided by .

Known by the nickname "J.B.," Brown is the host of CBS' NFL Today and has worked with well-known sports figures such as Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long, Dan Marino and Shannon Sharpe.

Brown has won several awards including Emmy Awards for Outstanding Studio host for FOX NFL Sunday 1998 and 1999 and the 2002 International Black Broadcasters Association’s Broadcasting Excellence Award.

The event is free and open to the public. Worship services are at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, and at 9 and 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 12.
