• Ruth A. Rosborough, 66, of Batavia worked for many years as a copy coordinator in the newspaper business. She loved quilting, cooking and gardening having a knack for beautiful flower beds. Ruth was a devoted mother and grandmother. She found great joy in spending time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all those whose lives she touched.

• Sophia Delgado died Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013.  Services are private.

• Donna E. O’Connor, 76, of Geneva was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed the challenge of a good crossword puzzle and watching the old classic movies. Donna found great joy in spending time with her family and friends and will be dearly missed by all those whose lives she touched.

• Arthur Greenberg, 89, of St. Charles, entered WW II and served in the Signal Corps attached to the 3rd & 8th Air Force, as radar support. He was a Ham Radio enthusiast for more than 60 years, and also liked to play the classical guitar. He worked as an electrical engineer for Westinghouse and GTE Sylvania for many years, before going into business for himself. He lived with a wonderful zest for life, having a great sense of humor.

• Bertha E. Staudt, 97, of Batavia, was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Batavia since 1952. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. 

• Josephine R. Kisser — Obituary is pending.

• Howard C. Dietz, 91, of Batavia was a member of the Kane County Car Club, Thunderbird Club International and the Chicago Thunderbird Club. He served in the United States Army during WWII from 1943 until 1946. 

• Frank Lagowski, 77, formerly of St. Charles and Batavia, was a live-in employee at the Hotel Baker. Frank could always be found in downtown St. Charles, whether he was polishing the brass outside of Hotel Baker or shopping downtown. He loved the staff of the hotel and counted them as his family.  Frank moved to Riverain Point Apartments in Batavia and lived there for many years.  Frank loved going to all the festivals that were held in St. Charles, Geneva, or Batavia, movies at the "Lonely Mall," Cougar games and park district trips.  He made friends easily and usually was adopted by them as part of their family. The Congregational Church family was more than happy to help and provide for him, it was a mutual admiration society. Frank was very special to everyone in the congregation, always making sure Frank was able to do the things he loved.
